      Montauk,NY 11/04/07

We had Eric,Mike,Rob,Bill,Mark and darrel out for a 1/2 day trip out of Montauk. We canceled Saturdays trip due to the unfishable conditions. We set out on Sunday morning in much more manageable seas with seas 3-4' with a N/w pushing 15-20 kts dropping down to 10-15 in the afternoon. We drifted eels on the local rips in front of lighthouse. Eric was the first one on as soon as he dropped down to the bottom. A nice teen size keeper. Then bill was on with a nice 20 lb. fish. Then bill dropped a cow when it got cut off by one of the engines! bummer. Then there was nothing but blues the rest of the trip. They wreaked havock on our 4 dozen eels! Milke landed a monster pushing 20 lbs! all in all they had a blast! We fished the end of the ebb into the start of the flood.

He showed the older guys how it's done! Each angler had nice fish to take home to dinner. They dropped some nice fish on top of the ones they caught.Get in on this hot action while it lasts! Long Island Ny 7/30/08

Today we had the Kevin Basham party out. We headed out of Moriches for a Shark trip to the 25 fathom fingers s/w of Moriches. we had a tight 4-5' chop going out so it slowed us down a bit. we finally arrived at my spot and set out the chum. no action at all for 3 hours. then I see a fin pop up at the far float. The Shark swims up the chum line and takes the 30' bait. The rod bends in half. i try to set the hook. the fish is off. I check the bait it's intact. i send it right back out and it gets nailed again. i give it 5 seconds and set the hook. The battle was on. Kevin had a blast bringing in a feisty 125 lb. mako. action was slow so he decided to take the fish for the BBQ. water temp 67 clear water.
P.S. We have openings for inshore and offshore fishing if you're interested in joining us.

We had Izac out for some stripers and fluke. we got out early to load up the well with some nice 3-4" peanuts. we drifted the cuts on the last of the flood and beginning of the ebb. we had good action with 14-20" fluke on light tackle no keepers for us in the bay. Schoolie stripers were chewing the peanuts also. we moved out to the ocean and still had plenty of shorts along with sea robins and skates but managed 2 for the table at 21-22". We had some triggerfish at the change of tide along the buoy chains.

                  Hudson Canyon 8/21/08

I Did another away trip on Kevin Bashams 48' Viking the Barbra ANN. yesterday. We headed to the hudson in flat calm seas. We set out 10 rods and found a nice temp break from 76-79 degrees. Plenty of life with dolphins and pilot whales all around us. within an hour we had a 3 banger on. all three yellowfins came tight and Mike,Kevin and kevin successfully brought in the 3 smallish 40 pound yellows. Then as we start putting out the lines again another ballyhoo gets nailed this time it was a 50lb. class yellow successfully landed by Kevin. We marked the spots and zigzaged all around the area but no more action. We trolled all over the hudson canyon with plenty of life in the water but slow action! all the other boats were complaining of no action at all! Slow day but great weather! The 2 never seem to mix together! (great weather and good fishing). Hopefully the action will pick up soon!
P.S. We have openings this month and next for inshore and offshore trips!

We Had Albert Lee out today for a morning trip. we picked up Bunker in the bay had some eels just in case and shot out to the inlet to catch the Flood. We drifted down the inlet in the 15 kt north wind. first drift with bunker al's onto a nice 20 lb. bass. This kept going throughout the tide. The fish had the feed bag on. Blues were chopping up the Bunker so after al had his limit we played catch and release with more bass and Blues. The fish hit everything! Eels, Bunker, parachute jigs you name it! We tried Blackfishing along the rocks. a few shorts released.

                      Moriches Bay Ny 4/29/06

We had the adam levy charter out for a 1/2 day trip out of Moriches. We had great weather with light west winds. We made several drops using heavy doses of mussel chum and blood worms for bait. we had some fish on every drop. We managed to land 13 keeper Flounder with only 2 throwbacks. the highlight of the day was future sharpie 10 yr old vinny catching his first ever flounder! The fishing should improve into May.
P.S. We are currently booking inshore and offshore adventures if you're interested in joining us.

                        New York Moriches Report

We had Mike out for a short Surf fishing trip out of Moriches Long Island New york. his persistance paid off with a nice 36" Striper taken on a chicken scratch bomber retreived slowly to entice the hit. the fish gave him a good tussel and really tested his drag! he dropped a few more fish. the fish were not in an agressive feeding mood with the end of the full moon and east winds. The fishing should pick up later in the week on the down side of the moon.
P.S. we have surf and Boat trip openings this month and next.

                            New york stripers on fire

We had Andrew and his son Pat out for a morning trip. We started out casting jigs to the blues that roam the bay each morning. they had a blast catching all the blues they wanted on light tackle. When the tide switched we drifted live baits and were getting cut in half by blues so we started chunking the baits then started getting nice bass to 26 lbs. the blues were up to 10lbs. the bass were loaded with Flounder in thier bellys.
