• Dularge Trout Fishing

Only 1 word to sum up Saturdays trout bite! 'Incredible'..........I hope today's action is a sign of what's to come in November! We absolutely crushed the yellowmouths catching 100 fish in an hour! What a day to remember! All 14-18in fish with the majority caught on double rigged LSU chubs. We fished a lot of different areas today catching over 150 fish total with hardly any throw-backs! Lots of head-shaking especially from the fish caught under corks. We caught fish on the shell reefs under birds and on other reefs without a bird in sight. These fish are schooling big time feeding heavy on shrimp and were very aggressive hitting the double rigs. No charters today or tomorrow as I'm enjoying a weekend with the family. Dead-eye Chris Lake, my brother Tommy and his son Gavin had a blast reeling in big numbers of fish today. Don't know if we can duplicate today's catch but well be out again tomorrow to give it a try. The 'Gavinator' and 'Deadeye' are looking forward to those doubles tomorrow. Pictures will be posted
    later. Good luck fishing.

    • Sunday Trout Bite!

      Dularge Trout Fishing

Sunday trout fishing was off the chart!! Incredible trout bite and was actually better than Saturday. Two at a time on just about every cast with the all new limetreuse Bayou Chubs and the old standby LSU. We caught 150 trout in less time than it takes to drive from Houma to Dularge! The fish are averaging 14-18in. with plenty of great eating 15inchers. We left the trout biting every cast! Its amazing how these fish just show up one day and continue to bite well until theres a major weather change to disrupt the pattern. Dead-eye Chris Lake, Capt Gerald Ellender,Tommy Lake,Gavin Lake and Pat Olivier wore out the yellowmouths and we all had a good time doing it. The fish are feeding heavy on pogies and shrimp and we expect this pattern to continue for a few more weeks. Book your trip now to get in on this incredible action. Good luck fishing.

      • Trick Or Treat Trout & Redfish!

        TRICK OR TREAT!
Day before Halloween Trip turned out to be a treat Things started out a little slow but by mid morning we were 0on the trout over an oyster reef near lake Clabasse steady action until the limit was full of nice speckle trout. At first they would hit nothing but live shrimp but about half way thru started to take plastic along with the shrimp. We made a short run to a protected cove and finished off the box with some nice redfish and a huge flounder. Great day for Trick or Treating on Halloween eve.
Just a few short of the limit!

        • Dularge Trout Slam!

          Dularge Trout Slam!

After whacking the trout in hurricane winds on Friday, Capt Gerald Ellender and I were back at it early Saturday morning. I fished with Mike Shetron, Donald Coleman and Bill Bernard from Arkansas. The guys absolutely crushed the trout as we easily caught our 100 fish by noon. Talked with Capt Gerald and they had already caught over 80 fish at a different location. He fished with Win Coleman, Barrett Person, and Justin McCuistion. A great day with 200 fish caught including trout, reds, flounder, bass, and a few sheepshead for lagniappe. A combination of fishing plastic under corks and a very slow retrieve with swim baits did the trick! The marsh was drained by the low tides and the fish were stacked in the deeper waterways. Everyone enjoyed their day on the DU and caught their share of fish. Good luck fishing.

            Sunday Trout Slam!

Day 2 with Mike Shetron and company from Arkansas.
Just another great day on the DU with plenty of action and hungry trout! The 6 man crew had to get on the road early but not before whacking another 150 trout along with a nice bunch of bass as lagniappe. Swim baits were the ticket today and we had plenty to offer them. They had a blast catching 350 fish for the weekend. They were really fortunate as there were not many places to fish due to extremely low water and high winds. This cold front really did a number on our open waters making most locations unfishable. Thanks Capt Gerald for your help with the second boat and hard work as the conditions were less than desirable. Big thanks to Capt Ricky for taking out the Scotch Classic crew and to Capt Gerald again today with Clayton Breaux and crew. Good luck fishing.

Great time trout fishing in Dularge I had my regular customers Ron adams, Luke Adams, Hunt Powell, And Mike Salinas with me. It took us a few stops but we finally found the trout stacked up at our last stop. My crew was slinging in trout, reds, bass, and even a couple jail fish!! No limits but ended with a nice solid box of fish. All fish caught on plastics as that's all you need 'Down in Dularge'. Thanks for your business guys and I look forward to our next trip.

Extreme low water out there guys be very careful

              • Trout Bite Continues 11-7-10

Today I had the pleasure to fish with Biff Partridge and crew. One stop is all it took to fill up the box. The guys ended up with a nice mixed box of trout, bass, reds, and a flounder. Trout up to 18 inch's today! Plastic baits is all you need down here. Great time with this crew as they were a bunch of fun to fish with. Thanks guys for the great company and laughs.

Water level is the lowest I have ever seen it. Be extremely careful out there.

                • Dularge Trout SLAM 11-8-10

Fun time Down Dularge today slamming the specks with Jason chiasson and Greg Blanchard. We got on the trout hot and heavy early this morning putting thirty fish in the box real quick before the bite shut down. It was fish on everycast!! We made a couple moves and found what we were looking for, we had the specks coming in 1-3 at a time all under corks. Could not get the fish to hit the swim baits at all. My crew had a blast easily filling their limits. Added one bass to the box also. Thanks guys, glad to finally put everything together with you!!!!

Great day today with Jim Johnson. Today was a learning/scouting day for Jim. He wanted to learn some new area and techniques on catching Dularge trout, so thats what we did. We did not stay long at any one spot because we were limited to time. Made a bunch of moves showing Jim the area and catching fish at almost every stop. We caught trout, reds, and bass today. Corks and swimbaits did the trick as usual. Great company today with Jim and I look forward to fishing with him again.

Enjoyed another great day trout fishing down in Dularge. I had Clay Nunnally on board again today wanting to catch trout!! Went straight to the HOTSPOT and found the bite to be slow. Moved around and found what we were looking for....Shrimp jumping out the water with the BIG yellow-mouths in HOT pursuit. Trout up to 18 inch's today. Corks and swim baits caught equally today. We added a few reds, flounder, and one drum to the box as lagniappe. Thanks Clay for the great company again and look forward to our next trip.
Water levels up a bit, but you still need to be careful. Good luck fishing!

                      • Hopedale Marsh Trip,

                        Hopedale Marsh Trip,

Today Glen and I left out of Hopedale to fish One Pint of Fuel Lake. The weather was cool with bright sky and high tide. Fishing was slow using Berkley gulps 3 inch shrimp and clicking egg corks. We fished inside some duck ponds and managed to catch 2 nice redfish. We drifted the lake and trout fishing was slow with some throw back trout being sporadically caught. The tide was not falling and was very high for the early morning fishing, making the productivity dismal. We decided to move into the ship channel at the damn to bottom fish for reds and white trout. Plenty fish in this location and we caught small croaker and white trout. We ended the trip at 11:00 am and had 10 specs, 2 reds, and 10 white trout and some small croaker. We left the fish biting in this location where there were at least 8 other boat fishing, all catching fish.

                        Good fishiní,

FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!!!! Had the pleasure of fishing today with long time friend Joey Ricette, his new wife Denise, along with great friends Claude & Mary Cutitto. Joey owned the Swamp Room on Veterans Hwy for years. Heís working on opening a restaurant on the beach in Gulf Port. My first mate Eric was also aboard to help me with the trip. They came down last night, we had a lot of laughs. We got up this morning to a picture perfect day. I decided to go another way for a change of scenery. The results were the same. Started off in Lake Robin made 4 stops and caught 150 Speckled trout. They were eating as fast as you could get the bait in the water. The girls were having a blast. On the way back in we made a couple of stops for reds 2 that we kept & 2 we turned loose. We also had 2 Heads. Fishing is as is good at it gets in the fall right now. We are catching limits nearly every day. Come down & let us show you some of the best fishing in South East Louisiana. >P>. Fishing remains outstanding at the beach. We are on a great trout bite. Weather is beautiful. We have 4 boats waiting to take you on your next fishing adventure.

What a incredible day putting the SMACKDOWN on the yellowmouths. Had Rick & Jake Woolsey back down from California and his dad thingy from Baton Rouge. These guys bring good luck everytime they fish with me as we have never had a bad trip. We started out the morning SMASHING the trout everycast on tantem rigged chubs. The trout were coming in the boat 4-8 at a time. "GOOD AS IT GETS". Everyone had a total blast as always!!! When our bite shut down we had right at 75 fish on ice. We made one more stop to find some HOG trout!! Fish up to 21 inch's (3#9oz), couple reds and bass for lagniappe. Rick wanted Jake to experience the pull of a big bull, so we went soak some crabs and made it happen. Jake was on fire all day long and finished the day hooking into two Bull Drum. Always a pleasure fishing with these guys and look forward to our next trip. Thanks guys.

Brian Antilley, 12 yr old Emma Antilley, and Mike Lambert joined me for a magnificent day of trout bashing. The trout bite was incredible today, better than yesterday!! We hit five schools of fish catching 30-50 trout at each stop. 12 yr old Emma was on a roll reeling in fish everycast. This was Mikes first time trout fishing and he had a blast reeling in the yellowmouths all day. Everyone did great and had the time of their lives reeling in all these fish. Over 200 trout must have hit the deck today. tantem rigged chubs did the trick again. Doesn't matter what color as these fish are HUNGRY. Thank you guys and thanks Lonnie for setting up the trip. WOW is all I can say!! Had two boats running with a group from Texas/Louisiana. My texas guys were looking for a repeat SLAM like last year (at first light it wasnt looking good!!). We were greeted with the worst case scenario for catching trout (brutal winds, dirty water). It only took two stops and we were Duing what we Du best, loading the boat with Trout!!!!! The bite was on as we had trout, reds, bass, and a lonely flounder being slung into the boat. The guys had a total blast reeling in over 100 fish. Plastic baits is all you need in Dularge!!! We left the fish biting when we were finished. Looking for a repeat today with the same group. Thanks to Capt. Rob Dupont for running the second boat and putting his crew on the trout also. I know his crew had a good time as they were hooping and hollering all day!!

                                    • Day 2 Dularge fishing

Day 2 with Billy Myers, Danny Myers, Jason Moreno, Heath Slack, Joe Phillips, and Chuck Ellis found the Texas/La boys back slinging in the trout!! The action was not as fast as yesterdays but it was steady up until the tide quit falling. Our bite shut down so we moved locations to find a few more trout willing to bite. We decided to leave the trout around 12:00 to look for a few reds. Only two to be found, both caught out of Capt Rob's boat. Good times and memories made the last two days. Thanks for everything guys and I look forward to your return next year. Thanks also to Capt Rob Dupont for running the second boat and showing the guys a great time.

A PICTURE PERFECT DAY @ THE BEACH!!!!! Had the pleasure if fishing today with a fun group of guys from Zachry construction. . Picked them up at John Miremontís home in beautiful Fort Beauregard estates. Had the pleasure of fishing with Carroll, Chis, Ricky & Ken. My first mate Eric also gave us a hand. Had a 1 stop shop & put 150 speckled trout in the boat, also caught 4 Reds, 4 Flounder, & 1 Sheepshead. The fish ate up Campos live shrimp as fast as you could get the bait in the water. The weather is great and the fishing is about as good as it gets. Everyone had a great time and said they had a blast fishing today. . We have openings so give a call to book you next adventure with the King.

Captain Ronnie and Capt tony fished with me today. Capt Ronnie also limited out catching 75 trout 2 reds and 1 head. Capt Tony had 50 last time I talked to him and was on a good bite. I will let you know how they did when they get back.

We have openings so give a call to book you next adventure with the King. YOUíLL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!!!

Trout fishing off the charts, easy as it gets today!!! Like taking candy from a baby!!! LOL Had Clay Nunnally back on board today with his two boys 7yr old Peyton & 8yr old Parker, and Grandpa V.J. Morgan. Clay didn't get enough last week and wanted more, he got what he wanted!!!! It was so easy today as all you had to do was throw any bait in the water and the trout were devouring them. 7yr old Peyton and 8yr old Parker caught fish every-cast for several hours having the time of their lives!!! So awesome to see the young ones tearing up the specks. Only stopped the boat twice and we easily caught 200+ fish with the white trout mixed in (No white trout kept). I know the boys will be dreaming tonight of reeling in all the fish. Thanks so much Clay, incredible time with you guys today!! Great job today Peyton and Parker.
