Tough Thursday on the Beach. I picked up Joey and his wife Jennifer at Campo?s where we loaded up with their famous live shrimp and croakers. We were greeted by a stiff NW wind as we headed out. This ruled out one of the areas I wanted to fish that produced well the day before. We bounced around all over the Sound with little to show for, two Trout and a couple of Bull Reds hook ups to go with the tons of Hardheads and Sailcats. We moved closer in to fish on the protected edges and got on a few good Trout with lots of throw backs mixed in. We then worked the rocks for a little while where Jennifer caught the Trout of the day. It was a tough day for fishing, but they had fun scraping together a box of 25 Trout and 1 Sheepshead. It definitely was one of those, ?you should have been here yesterday? kind of days.

The Silver Bullet Gang hits the Beach. After a week off for a little vacation I had the pleasure of taking out the Silver Bullet Gang, Garry, Ray, Charles, and Frank on Wednesday. Conditions were perfect as we left Campo?s. Our fist stop produced some nice Trout along with the occasional Bull Red and Jack. Once this bite slowed we made a few moves and got on a good bite of some quality Trout with live shrimp under a cork. Charles tossed out a Glup shrimp and it met the same fait as the live. Before long everyone had one on and the Trout were filling up the box fast. When the guys called it quits the box was stuffed and one of them had to sit on it to get it closed. Total for the day 103 Trout, 3 Reds, 4 Heads, and 1 Drum.

Second day for Dale Coffman and his guests. Boy, what a great day it was! Capt. Jason made one stop and they put 110 speckled trout (1-3 lbs) into the boat. The guys couldn't wait to get in to call their friends and tell them about their great trip.
Capt. Lester had Josh and his group. They also had a great day by making one stop and catching 115 speckled trout.
Both groups were back in for 9:30. All fish were caught on Campo's live shrimp 2' under a popping cork. Campo's has been having some pretty bait.
Guys if the weather is nice don't miss out. Get out there and catch some of these beautiful fish. There are still lots of limits to be caught.
We do have 5 boats standing by, and I do have a couple of openings this week and a couple for the weekend because I have had some cancellations. If you want to get onto some of this great fishing give us a call.
BUSTED EM UP AT THE BEACH!!!! Finally got a beautiful day with light wind and a good tide. Had the pleasure of fishing today with Jeff, David, Garrett, Sammy and Chris. They came in town for a fishing bachelor party for Garrett. Jeff lives in Atlanta and the rest of the guys are from Mobile Al. We made a few stops getting on really good trout bites. We ended the day with 102 speckled trout in the 1-4 lb. range. We had a lot of solid 2-3’s. The fish were caught tight lined on Campo’s live shrimp and croakers. A fun group of guys; they are going to the French Quarter for dinner tonight. I’m sure they will have a lot fun wherever they go. We are on a good trout bite, check out the pictures. BREEZY AT THE BEACH!! Woke up this morning to a 20 mph NW wind. Hate it when that happens. 2ft of mud in my slip and the tide is rolling out. Not the best conditions for fishing for sure. Fished today with Steve his wife Miranda, Jimmy and Renalda. Steve is in town visiting from up north and the rest of the group lives in Mississippi. I told them it wasn’t going to be any cake walk but they came along way to fish. Figured we would give it a shot. Took me awhile but got on a decent trout bite. They were mixed in size but they were having a blast catching fish on every cast. We ended the day with 60 trout in the 12-16 in. range with a lot of throwbacks. Very nice group. I really enjoyed fishing with them. The wind is supposed to lay down tomorrow, I hope they get it right. We will let you know what we find.

SHELL BEACH REPORT!!! Had the pleasure of fishing yesterday with Coleman Adler, his son C.E. and Allan AKA The Mouse Kancher. Allan, Coleman and I have been fishing together for over 30 years. These guys really know how to fish. The guys wanted to catch big fish so we took the shot with 15 mph west wind. The conditions weren’t great but we took the shot anyway. We made 5 stops without catching 1 trout. Decided to head to calmer waters and catch some smaller fish. Made a few stops and got on a trout bite. We caught 35 trout in the 13 to 16 slot. The guys were catching them on croackers and shrimp. We also had one 2 pd and one 3 pd trout. Went back to the lodge had fresh fish and talked about old times. They are coming back next week- hope the weather gives us a break.

KNOCKED EM THIS MORNING!!!!! Had the pleasure of fishing today with Brett, Steve, Rocky and Mike. Mike is in town from New York and had never seen the kind of action we had this morning. Made a few moves and caught fish at every stop until we hit the mother load of specked trout. We limited out catching 125, 1 red and 1 puppy drum. The fish were caught on Campo's live shrimp and croackers. He had double, triple and quadruple hookups. As fast as you could cast. The water was beautiful in Breton Sound and fishing is outstanding.
Capt. Rory fished with Gary Gagliano, his brother Charles, Ray, a.k.a. Speck King, today. They also caught 100 pretty speckled trout with Campo’s live shrimp. Rory will give you the details later.

For the last two days we have had the pleasure of fishing with Zachry Constructions' guests. The guys are on their way home with a whopping: 545 speckled troutin the 1 - 3 lb. range, 3 reds, and 1 nice flounder.
Guys you know the drill. When the weather is good, you knock them. And when the weather is bad, you need to scratch for them. You'll catch a few here or there. But, you manage to put a nice box of fish together.
For the last week or so, our boats have been averaging 75 - 100 fish a day. So, we know the fish are out there.
All fish were caught 2' under a popping cork and fishing Carolina rig on the bottom, using Campo's live shrimp. If you want to catch some fish and have some fun, Fishing Magician Charters is the one. FUN DAY @ THE BEACH!!!! Weather looked iffy this morning. Lots of rain and pretty good west wind. The tide was dead low which usually makes for a hard day. NOT!!!!! Had the pleasure of fishing today with Harold Blaum AKA Rocky his son Mike and friends from Birmingham Ala. This was Scott’s first trip and Larry is a bass fisherman. We made a few stops and got on a good trout bite. Fishing Campos live shrimp and a cork we caught 98 pretty trout in the 1-3 pound range. Once I showed Scott and Larry how to work the bait they caught on quick and really had a good time. Capt Mark had 80 last times I talked to him and we will put his report up with pictures later. Weather looks iffy for the next few days. We will let you know how we do.

SHELL BEACH REPORT!!!! Capt. Mark had the hot hand for the day. Capt. Mark fished with the Ben Hall group. With the weather iffy this morning, we decided to fish Bay Eloie. When I checked the buoys the wind was 15+ out the SW. When we got to Eloie and the sun came up, it was better then I thought it was going to be. Capt. Mark’s group put 110 speckled trout in the boat. The fish were in the 12-18 in. slot and tight lined was how they caught them. I had Jamie Iberia’s group out of Texas. We caught fish at every stop. We had a bunch of throwbacks mixed in with the keeper trout today. Our fish were caught with a popping cork 3 ft deep. We ended our day with 78 speckled trout, 20 white trout, and 1 puppy drum. Capt. Ronnie ran the other part of Jamie Iberia’s group. They had a lot of first timers. Their boat won the big fish bet catching 2 reds and 25 trout. We all got back to the lodge for 11 A.M. and got slammed by the rain for 2 hrs. while the fish were being cleaned. Real nice people to spend time with. Back at it tomorrow and will post a report with pictures.
